Welcome to the BUNKER- Virtual Tour! To view BOG's personal INTRODUCTION VIDEO- Click HERE! (please be patient- video may take minute to load) As you approach the Bunker......you can get a glimpse through the door as to the majesty of which you are about to experience...from vintage to modern amplifiers and guitars...the Bunker is a hallowed musical shrine of tonal excellence. The Bunker is known throughout the global musical community as a Mecca for those who are seeking good jamming, good tone, and an ambience of pure sonic delight. Bog's wall of guitars and custom paint work give the entire bunker an aura of musical dominance. Though extremely sub-par in virtually every way to the Doc of Rock's own personal studio, The Bunker is still more readily equipped than virtually any other music room in the entire country. The Bog is continuously plagued by requests from both children and adults throughout his neighborhood for one of his famed 'mini-concerts', in which he performs some of his dazzling solo guitar work, most of which he learned from his nephew, Brad Gottlieb- The Doc of Rock. Bog has been known to 'tour' all over homeless shelters throughout the Twin Cities to perform for some of the less fortunate, who cannot pay to see him live. This is one of the many reasons that Bog is regarded as one of the most outstanding humanitarians the world has ever known. Upon entering the Bunker, you are treated to a virtual smorgasbord of sonic and visual delights. To your left, you see the famed 'Beatles Wall'...along with Bog's 'Fretless Wonder' Les Paul, and the left channel of his PA system. Bog's staggering collection of gear has been building up throughout his entire 30 year career as a musician. Bog's newest acquisition is his cherished Line 6 Flextone III modeling amplifier, which enables the BOG to nail the tone of virtually any number of different vintage, boutique and modern amplifiers. Bog's Yamaha 4x12 cabinet, which he uses as the extension cabinet for his Line 6 Flextone III amp, lies below the famed Beatles wall of honor. Bog's Line 6 Flextone III amp is wired to both this extension cabinet, and his PA.....enabling him to create incredibly lush and spacious 360 degree sounds throughout the entire room. The spacey delays and entrancing chorus tones the BOG can bleed from his various amplifiers can put even the most skilled musician into a daze at its majesty. (as with all videos- please be patient as they may take a minute to load) Shift your gaze to the right just a bit......and you encounter Bog's Glorious drum set. Bog's skills as a musician began at age two, when he would produce uncanny rhythms by banging one of his mother's iron pots with a giant soup ladle. Thankfully, the entire Gottlieb family is full of unbelievably skilled musicians, so his talents did not go overlooked, and were instead nurtured and encouraged. It is likely that it is because of this nurturing element in his youth that the BOG developed such a selfless sense of being, devoting most of his time and energy to helping those less fortunate than himself. If you want to see another VIDEO of BOG playing his drums- click the Picture below!!! Welcome now to the HEART of the Bunker- Bog's central control station. From vintage Fender Tube amplification, to modern-day digital drum machines and amplifiers....The Bunker's central control station is the nervous system of Bog's tone. With the casual turn of a knob, or flick of a switch, Bog can tap-tempo his way to sonic bliss- taking all bystanders along with him for the ride! As is readily apparent in the photo below, and all of the other photos on this page, the BOG is extremely meticulous with keeping his Bunker both tidy, and organized. There is virtually no cable...no button.....no ANYthing in The Bunker that the BOG cannot tell you immediately of where it comes from, and where it leads to. Bog's control of his entire room can be traced back to this very bench. The BOG poses in front of Bunker Central with his pseudo-vintage Kramer guitar. Bog enjoys playing with the Kramer for it's ripping EMG-81 tone, and fierce Floyd-rose dive-bombing. Notice on Bog's control bench you can see a much-desired original vintage Ibanez tube-screamer pedal. This pedal is probably the most sought-after effect in the history of the electric guitar, and is exceedingly rare. Below, the BOG, Bruce Gottlieb with his Kramer, and no doubt- Phat boy en Toe takes a quick break from shredding and rests in front of the newly updated Bunker Control Station. In the picture below you can see the BOG has updated this station to be equipped with a personal computer...which is connected to his Flextone III amp. This allows the BOG to even further tweak his legendary tone...and goes to show how the bunker is equipped with technology of the past, present......and future. One of BOG's premiere pieces of gear- his Roland JUNO-106. This was the first polyphonic keyboard available to the US market in the 1980's....the staggering analog tones that BOG can milk from this machine are no less than astounding. Bog's fluid keyboard work can match his dazzling fretboard work, and dizzying percussive work toe-to-toe (to toe).
